Last class we were talking about the “Promise of Reality in Photography”. Because still in digital times we are thinking that photography is a medium to show our reality. But most of the time we don´t see the medium behind the image, we just see the supposed reality that shows the image. Like Wolfgang Tillmans says: “The camera always lies what´s before the camera but never what´s behind it. That means that just the intention what is behind the camera is real and authentic. Everything what is before the camera only can be an approximation to reality.”
