Brendt Barbur, fundador y director, fué obligado a iniciar el Festival de Cine y Bicicletas cuando fué atropellado por un bus mientras montaba su bicicleta en Nueva York. El, insistió en convertir su experiencia negativa en una positiva. En el 2001 Barbur inició el Festival de Cine y Bicicletas como plataforma para celebrar la bicicleta a través de la musica, el arte y por supuesto, el cine.
Brendt Barbur, Founding Festival Director, was compelled to start the Bicycle Film Festival when he was hit by a bus while riding his bike in New York City. He insisted on turning his negative experience into a positive one. In 2001 Barbur started the Bicycle Film Festival as a platform to celebrate the bicycle through music, art and, of course, film.
